ABOUT ME

At first I was engaged in sculpture. After a few years, I realized that in my works there is not enough life, not enough active energy which is typical (is characterized) of tribal art. To study the origin (original sources) of art from 2009 to 2016 I travelled to Australia, Ethiopia, Mongolia, Mali and Madagascar. Communication with Australian aborigines, shamans of Africa and Mongolia made it possible to take a fresh look at the principles and techniques of visual and sound effects. This experience successfully combined with the traditions and principles of writing Russian icons. It became clear to me that the main thing in creating artistic images is energy, not esthetics. To solve the problem of energy impact, I decided to use color component in my works more actively and in 2014 I turned my attention to painting. I began to use active colors, as well as create works in monochrome and polychrome techniques and pay attention to the three-dimensional effect of the images . Thus, I solved the problem of transmitting the energy maximum to the viewers. At the same time the importance of personalization and identification of artistic images, as well as in tribal art, remained the main thing for me.

In the period of 2017-2018, I spent some time at Cite International Des Arts Paris. It was a great opportunity to get opinions about my art work from young artists from different countries, to study and understand the language of modern art. In Paris I started my global project "Shamanism and Paganism in the Modern City". This project is an appeal to the question of the return of the inhabitants of modern cities to pagan values. Also part of this project is the phenomenon of artificial intelligence's integrating into modern human consciousness. For the implementation of the project, besides painting, I used photo-painting and created photo and video films. All these allowed to achieve even greater information and energy impact. Now I am working on the continuation of this project and apply to the topic of preserving planet Earth for future generations. For this I want to turn to the creation of interactive street art objects. These objects should become part of street performance, in which everyone can take participation. These performances will be shown in real time. With their energy, denoted questions and esthetics, these objects should contribute as much as possible to changing the existing reality for the better. The theme of life in harmony with the outside world is fundamental in shaman philosophy.
